Short summary of biography

Sofia Kjellström is Professor of Quality Improvement and Leadership. She is the manager of the research area: Improvement, innovation, and leadership in health and welfare (IMPROVE). She has written a best-selling textbook in Care ethics.  She has a broad humanistic and social science education (BA. In sociology) and (MSc. In Practical Philosophy) from Lund University. Her doctoral studies were conducted on multidisciplinary Tema Health and Society, Linköping University, resulting in a 2006 treatise on the individual's responsibility for their health.

Her specialty is adult development theories that show that people have qualitatively different complex ways to interpret and manage life experiences. Projects are conducted in a variety of areas, such as leader and leadership development, innovation, change management, and coproducation. Research is performed in partnerships with small and large private, non-profit and public organizations. Her research is characterized by creativity and the ability to move between scientific fields. She is committed to sustainable development. She is research leader for Samskapa – a co-production research program, 2019-2024. 

Why is ShareMusic’s work important? 

– ShareMusic creates coproduction processes where people share power and responsibilities for artistic processes, and where peoples experiences are respected and seen as valuable. I am very curios on how these are done and what we can learn form them in order to use the learning in other settings.
