Would you like to lead an interdisciplinary and exploratory artistic process in a geographical area where industry is an integral part of everyday life?
We are looking for a choreographer to co-lead a five-day residency in Jönköping County from 26-30 October, together with a composer/sound artist. The project will be carried out in collaboration with our inclusive ensembles - musicians from Elefantöra and dancers from the Work Ensemble.
The residency is an artistic development process centered on exploration, co-creation and interdisciplinary collaboration – rather than the production of a finished performance. It takes place in the Småland region in south of Sweden, where industry plays a significant role in both the landscape and people's everyday lives. Together, we will explore how this context can influence movement, sound and artistic expression.
The work is rooted in ShareMusic’s inclusive artistic practice, in which different perspectives, experiences and ways of expressing oneself and creating are seen as artistic strengths.
We have previously organised similar residencies and are now returning to the region and this working method to further develop the meeting between dance and music in a place-based and inclusive context.
The residency concludes with an open sharing, where audiences are invited to experience the artistic process and the material developed during the week. The residency may also serve as a starting point for future collaborations and artistic projects.
Application deadline: 31 July 2026.
A fee will be paid in accordance with the Swedish central bargain agreement for dancers and choreographers. Travel, accommodation and per diem are provided.
